Summer is a time for fresh and new, and QuickBooks Online is keeping up with that by releasing five refreshingly cool updates and features to make your books an absolute breeze. We’re certain you’ve noticed at least one of these while working on your books this summer, and maybe you’ll discover a new feature today to implement tomorrow. Let’s dive in!
While summer has been in full swing, QBO has been cranking out awesome updates.
Edit payroll details inside Payroll Workflow
Now you can click on employee names in payroll, change employee set-up details right in your workflow, and previewing the changes before saving to make sure they’re accurate. No more closing one window and opening another. It’s all accessible right there!
Receipt Capture to save and store receipts digitally
And they’ll be automatically categorized! Add your receipts to QBO by either scanning directly using the mobile app, uploading on your computer and then drag and drop, or forward by email. You can add or delete receipts at any time.
Choose trackable details within contractor payments
Now there are dropdown menus available that allow you to choose from a variety of trackable details, like project, location, or class. Once you hit “pay,” the details will be tracked and can be easily accessed in your expenses.
Manage employee health benefits right from QBO Payroll
You can now compare, buy, and manage insurance plans from top carriers for your employees, including health, dental, and vision. Premiums are tax deductible, which helps you save even more, and are automatically deducted during payroll. Go to your Workers tab, click “Benefits,” and you’ll find a list of top carriers and quotes. Once you settle on a plan, QBO will invite the employee to enroll.
Redesigned invoice to impress
QBO has given a makeover to it’s invoice template design. It has a cleaner look, giving your company a more professional image. It hones in on details and gives more descriptive previews.
