This Forbes article has insane facts but a couple stood out like neon lights. The majority of businesses in the United States are actually small businesses! A whopping 99.9% of businesses are considered small.
The article also stated that half of businesses survive five years and only on third survive ten years. As far as Small Business Saturday, what exactly is it?! It’s a day similar to Black Friday or Cyber Monday on the Saturday following Thanksgiving. People focus on shopping at local shops, restaurants, and other independent businesses. It encourages individuals to shop small to support their local businesses and economy.
