Intuit has released information about the new features coming with QuickBooks 2018. The scheduled release date is September 26. Although we’re excited for all updates coming in the latest version, here are the top five we are most anxious for:
The 2018 version now offers support for up to three monitors. This will allow you to move a task/report/register from your one monitor to another monitor. For example, you can have two reports open at once - one on each monitor. Or you might have an invoice on one monitor while you have a bill open on another monitor. This will be a definite enhancement to your productivity.
Now you are able to customize your inventory columns. The includes Inventory Valuation Summary, Inventory Status by Item, and Assembly Storage by Item.
A new icon has been added that will alert you seven days before the payroll deadline. This will be a great reminder for those with busy schedules.
Now you can choose to have a “Past Due” stamp on past due invoices. This shows up in all red, capital letters. This will be visible on printed and emailed invoices. Past due stamps can be set up for any customer you choose. It is not a mandatory On or Off - you have the power to choose.

This latest version of QuickBooks includes a search bar for COA. Previously, there had not been a search feature, but now you can look up accounts based on name or number. This is an extremely handy tool.
